Information for young people
If you are under 25, live in Cheshire East and have a special educational need or a disability you can have a say in what you would like to happen and how choices are made for your future.
The Cheshire East Information Advice and Support (CEIAS) team are here to help, we can give you information, advice and support around your SEND .
If you're having problems with your education we can give you some help, support or advice to help sort it out. We may also be able to help with health or social care issues if they are related to your education.
What we can do:
- make sure that people hear and understand your views
- give you information and options to help you understand what is going on
- attend meetings with you put you in touch with other people who can help.
What we can't do:
- make decisions for you
- tell you what to do
- pass on what you tell us if you don't want us to.
However, if you tell us something which makes us think you are not safe we will have to speak to someone so that you can receive support. Sometimes we may think it is a good idea to talk to other people about what you tell us, like your parents, teachers or doctors. We will always ask you if this is ok first. You can say yes or no.
Our service is free
In contacting us we will record the information you wish to share with us on our secure database. This is so that we know what you have contacted us about in case you come back to the service at any point. We use the numerical data for our reports.so that people can see how many people we have worked with.
